School Health Services Overview
NTDSE Nurse’s Office supports the health and well-being of all our students, providing first aid when needed, administering daily physician-prescribed medication, and assisting with student health plans. If a child requires a specific health protocol due to conditions such as allergies, seizures, asthma, diabetes, or feeding issues, parents or guardians should contact NTDSE Nurse's Office. The NTDSE nurse will develop an individual healthcare plan tailored to the child's needs. This plan will be provided to the parent or guardian for review and authorization, ensuring that all teachers, staff, and those involved in transportation are informed and prepared to support the student.
The NTDSE nurses will also provide staff members with the necessary training to effectively implement these healthcare plans. These individual healthcare plans will be reviewed annually or whenever changes are indicated by a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
