Service Description

NTDSE Music Therapy services are provided for all NTDSE students through a programmatic model. Music therapy as a related service on the IEP is provided for those students for whom music therapy is necessary in order to make educational progress. The goal of our program is to provide students with the tools and support needed to develop confidence and functional independence to meet their potential. Goals reflect the assessed needs of each student in any of the following areas: Music therapy uses individualized music interventions to work on non-musical goal areas in the following domains: communication, social/emotional, motor, and cognitive/academic. All NTDSE Music Therapists are certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
